Terms of Service

The rules that govern your use of our platform

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the We Love To Help platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older.

2. The Platform

We Love To Help is a nonprofit services marketplace that connects individuals seeking help ("Seekers") with verified organizations ("Member Organizations") in their community.

We Love To Help is NOT an emergency service. If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911. If you are in a mental health crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

3. How It Works

  • We verify organizations against published standards before they are listed on the Platform.
  • We facilitate connections between Seekers and Member Organizations with the Seeker's explicit consent.
  • We do not provide direct services. All services are provided by Member Organizations, not by We Love To Help.

4. Your Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • One account per person. Duplicate or shared accounts may be terminated.
  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. For Seekers

When you submit a help request, we match you with Member Organizations based on your stated need and location.

  • Your information is shared with a matched organization only with your explicit consent.
  • You may revoke consent at any time by visiting your request status page or contacting us. Revoking consent immediately stops further sharing of your information.
  • We Love To Help is not liable for services provided by Member Organizations. We verify organizations against published standards but do not control their service delivery.

6. For Organizations

By registering as a Member Organization, you represent and warrant that:

  • Your organization is legally authorized to operate in its stated jurisdiction.
  • Your services are as described in your listings on the Platform.
  • You maintain all required licensure and insurance for the services you provide.
  • You comply with all applicable laws, including non-discrimination and fair housing requirements.
  • You will respond to referrals within the agreed service-level timeframe.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Data handling on this Platform follows the Minimum Helpful, Maximum Dignity (MHMD) standard: we collect only the minimum information needed to connect you with help, and we treat every piece of data with the dignity it deserves.

8. Mandatory Reporting

Tennessee law requires the reporting of suspected child abuse or neglect and abuse of vulnerable adults to the appropriate authorities.

Platform staff who receive information indicating suspected abuse or neglect will report per applicable law, including T.C.A. §§37-1-403, 37-1-605, and 71-6-103.

We promise confidentiality except where the law requires action to protect a child or vulnerable adult.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Provide fraudulent or misleading information.
  • Engage in harassment, abuse, or threatening behavior toward any user, organization, or staff member.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or its systems.
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform by automated means.
  • Impersonate another person, organization, or Platform representative.

10. Intellectual Property

All Platform content, design, logos, and branding are owned by We Love To Help and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Content submitted by Member Organizations (including listing descriptions and service information) remains the property of the submitting organization. By submitting content, you grant We Love To Help a non-exclusive license to display it on the Platform.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by Member Organizations. We verify organizations against published standards but this verification does not constitute an endorsement.

We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, We Love To Help's liability is limited to direct damages only.

In no event shall We Love To Help be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of the Platform or any services obtained through the Platform.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to you via email or a prominent notice on the Platform.

Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
